SAAG is a collective of South Asian writers, editors, intellectuals, organizers, translators, journalists, visual artists, and designers. We share a commitment to radical, dissident, and experimental work that simultaneously looks back at South Asian history and reflects new possibilities for the future in fiction, essays, reportage, multimedia, plays, poetry, and all forms of transdisciplinary hybrid work.
For SAAG phase II, I have created an experimental visual language that categorizes each symbol and motif into different categories. These visuals are abstracted through ancient art practices of South Asia and taken into digitizing the dissident through abstracted forms of sculpture and landscapes.
